Mein BPM-Statement:
S-BPM has become one of the most widely discussed approaches for process professionals. Its potential particularly lies in the integration of advanced information technology with organizational and managerial methods to foster and leverage business innovation, operational excellence and intra- and inter-organizational collaboration.
S-BPM as a discipline is characterized by a straightforward approach towards the analysis, modeling, implementation, execution and management of interaction patterns with an explicit stakeholder focus.
However, S-BPM also embraces further, widely undefined themes pertaining to the engineering and management of systems and organizations, particularly with respect to the areas of interaction culture, process-aware information systems, strategic alignment, and governance structures.
In 2009 we started out with the S-BPM ONE conference series in order to provide an exciting opportunity for researchers as well as business and education practitioners to contribute to our knowledge in this area. Since then we see a continuously growing S-BPM community of academics and business practitioners, working on innovative process-oriented artifacts and theorizing about the application, appropriation and usage consequences of S-BPM artifacts in organizational practice etc.
The S-BPM ONE conferences are a perfect forum to share and discuss results and experiences of these activities.
